Fire and Safety Training

September 30, 2019 @ 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM UTC+0

Essential advice on fire safety at Lancaster University, followed by an entertaining, frank and enlightening talk about consent, designed and delivered by students for students.

Fire Safety Matters

This talk focuses on student residences and will cover areas such as our emergency evacuation procedures, what to do if a fire breaks out and the range of early warning systems and protective measures in our buildings. We will also be giving you some top tips for preventing fires and false alarms, ensuring you have all the information you need to stay safe during your time at Lancaster.

Bystander Training

Sex. It’s great if it’s between consenting adults, but a potential source of trauma if it’s not. Lancaster University and the students’ union are dedicated to working towards a culture where no one should be the object of unwanted sexual advances. That’s why we’ll be running bystander training talks during Welcome Week to help everyone understand more about consent and the associated issues.
