The event was a joint initiative between Lancaster University and <a href=\"http:\/\/parsuk.pt\/\">PARSUK<\/a>, the association of Portuguese scientists and students based in the UK. It brought to Lancaster policy makers, leading researchers, parents and educators in order to discuss challenges and opportunities associated with heritage language education.\u00a0During his visit, Professor Costa visited our new EEG lab, together with Portuguese Consul General, Dr Carlos Sousa Amaro, as well as representatives from the Portuguese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.\u00a0The event was covered by RTP (the Portuguese national broadcaster).
