It seems that the purpose of the PDR means different things to different people which inevitably leads to different expectations and levels of engagement with the process.<\/p>\n<p>The review groups are discussing the following as the proposed purpose.<\/p>\n<p>A process that:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Translates and aligns individual and team objectives to the University\u2019s strategic goals,<\/li>\n<li>acts as an enabling and motivational process throughout the employee lifecycle,<\/li>\n<li>enables two way communication, i.e. \u2018top \u2013 down\u2019 cascading of objectives and \u2018bottom \u2013 up\u2019 feedback of outcomes (i.e. enables ideas, issues and concerns and development needs to be fed-back to the appropriate level,<\/li>\n<li>integrates probation,<\/li>\n<li>facilitates continual performance management and development planning by incorporating ongoing 1:1 discussions and an interim update.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Let us know your ideas\u2026..<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This is a critical question that the PDR Review is addressing.
