The conference, promoted by the <strong>NOVA In the Globe <\/strong>initiative, will bring together researchers from Lancaster and NOVA, from different research fields and schools, who conduct applied research focused in Asia.<\/p>\n<p>The event aims to foster collaborations between researchers from different scientific backgrounds, enabling them to share knowledge and collaborate on large-scale research projects with ties to Asia. It will feature a session on NOVA\u2019s capacity-building projects in Asia and two panel discussions, \u201cResearch-driven innovation: Challenges and opportunities\u201d and \u201cCultural heritage and scientific diplomacy\u201d with both external speakers and leading researchers from NOVA and Lancaster University.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the researchers from NOVA and Lancaster, the event will be attended by the <strong>Vice-Rector of NOVA, Professor Elvira Fortunato<\/strong>, by the <strong>President of the Portuguese-Chinese Chamber of Commerce &amp; Industry, Jo\u00e3o Marques da Cruz<\/strong>, by the <strong>President of the Cam\u00f5es Institute, Ambassador Lu\u00eds Faro Ramos<\/strong>, by the<strong> Oriente Foundation<\/strong>and by <strong>Professor Robert Geyer from Lancaster University<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Entry is free but <a href=\"http:\/\/questionarios.unl.pt\/index.php?sid=11365&amp;lang=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">subject to registration<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Please <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unl.pt\/sites\/default\/files\/nova-lancaster_research_in_asia_-_programme_overview.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">check the Conference&#8217;s programme here<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>From NOVA University&#8217;s website (please click here to access the original in Portuguese \/ English): On July 23, NOVA University Lisbon will organize the conference \u201cResearch in Asia\u201d, in partnership with\u00a0Lancaster University.
