The main goal of the visit was to prepare the kick-off of a new project awarded by Portuguese National Research Agency (Funda\u00e7\u00e3o para a Ciencia e Tecnologia, Portugal; project reference: PTDC\/SAU-PUB\/31346\/2017: \u201cUrbanTB &#8211; From symptoms to diagnosis of Urban Tuberculosis, considering individual and contextual factors. What are the determinants and critical points of this delay\u2019s pathway?\u201d). This project included four different universities and has Prof. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lancaster.ac.uk\/staff\/taylorb1\/\">Benjamin Taylor<\/a> from Lancaster University and \u00a0Dr. Dennis Falzon (WHO) as external advisors. In 2014, Professor <span id=\"0.03061731883876262\">Carla<\/span> <span id=\"0.3510523058319792\">Nunes<\/span> took a sabbatical year at Lancaster University and that was when collaboration with those colleagues started.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Additionally, moving forward the strategic partnership established between NOVA and Lancaster University, <span id=\"0.6448076166650099\">Carla<\/span> <span id=\"0.4217522202298578\">Nunes<\/span> met with C\u00e9u Mateus, Benjamin Taylor and Patrick Rebuschat to discuss the development of joint teaching and research initiatives.
