NOVA AND LANCASTER UNIVERSITY ESTABLISH STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP<\/strong><\/p>\n

The signature of the Memorandum of Understanding between the two universities took place at the Rectorate of NOVA on 19 June.<\/p>\n

A new strategic partnership has been established between Universidade NOVA de Lisboa (NOVA) and Lancaster University.<\/p>\n

On 19 June, delegations from the two universities met at the Rectorate of NOVA in Lisbon to sign a Memorandum of Understanding.<\/p>\n

Lancaster was founded in 1964 and, like NOVA, has rapidly risen through the international university rankings.<\/p>\n

Among the best in UK, it is ranked 17th in the 2018 Times Higher Education Golden Age ranking, University of the Year 2018 by the Good University Guide, and ranks Top 10 in all three major UK league tables.<\/p>\n

The purpose of the partnership is to explore opportunities for collaborative research, joint teaching initiatives and strategic knowledge exchange including internationalisation, staff development and student recruitment.<\/p>\n

Under this agreement, all faculties, departments, centres and units of the two partner institutions will be able to explore potential areas for collaboration that will be of mutual benefit.<\/p>\n

Both NOVA and Lancaster play a leading role in the recently formed Heritage Language Consortium, a strategic partnership between six leading European universities and the Portuguese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.<\/p>\n

Fundada em 1964, a Lancaster University tem tido, tal como a NOVA, uma r\u00e1pida ascens\u00e3o nos rankings internacionais de ensino superior.<\/p>\n

Entre as melhores do Reino Unido, a Lancaster University ocupa a 17\u00aa posi\u00e7\u00e3o no ranking Times Higher Education Golden Age em 2018, \u00e9 a Universidade do ano 2018 pelo Good University Guide, e est\u00e1 no Top 10 no Reino Unido nos tr\u00eas mais importantes rankings do pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n

A parceria tem como objetivo a explora\u00e7\u00e3o de oportunidades para investiga\u00e7\u00e3o colaborativa, iniciativas de ensino conjuntas e interc\u00e2mbio de conhecimento estrat\u00e9gico incluindo internacionaliza\u00e7\u00e3o, desenvolvimento de docentes e recrutamento de estudantes.<\/p>\n

Todas as faculdades, departamentos, centros e unidades das duas institui\u00e7\u00f5es parceiras poder\u00e3o explorar, ao abrigo deste acordo, \u00e1reas com potencial de colabora\u00e7\u00e3o e benef\u00edcio m\u00fatuo.<\/p>\n
