| Massive congratulations to Jessica Andrew for winning not one, but two<\/strong> awards recently at two talks: Speed Talk<\/strong> \"\"Competition Winner at the Faculty of Science and Technology Celebration of Science; and Year 2 PhD Oral Presentation<\/strong> Winner at the Faculty of Health and Medicine Postgraduate Symposium! Her \u201cSports-Related Head Impacts on Auditory Processing<\/strong>\u201d is clearly one to look out for, incredibly proud!<\/span><\/p>\n

| Dr Helen Nuttall <\/strong>gave four\u00a0exciting talks into the \"\"Neuroscience of Music<\/strong>, organised by Seed Talks<\/a>, across locations ranging from Liverpool to Newcastle! T<\/span><\/span>hese talks covered the latest research on the role of music for brain health and the fascinating communication between your ears and your brain. It also addressed some frequently asked questions about the impact of music. Check out the details of the talk here<\/a>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

| Dr Helen Nuttall<\/strong> took part in an amazing event, the WiNUK Awards 2024<\/strong>, as the Head Judge for the \"\"Cognition and Neurodevelopment category, congratulations! | Our Lab is hosted an Older Adult Engagement Day<\/strong> here at Lancaster University with \"\"the idea of demystifying research to people from all backgrounds. Showing individuals NoSA Lab resources will be a great way to update the community of our research interests and to engage them in exciting new ideas! Welcome to anyone over the age of 60. It was an incredible experience, thank you to everyone who came!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

| Another huge congratulations to our PI, Dr HelenNuttall<\/strong>, for being awarded funding for a 2 year project co-funded \"\"by North West Cancer Research<\/strong> and Rosemere Cancer Foundation<\/strong>, investigating chemotherapy-induced hearing loss and health inequality! | <\/span>Our PI, Dr Helen Nuttall<\/strong>, was part of another incredible event at the 36th World Congress of Audiology<\/strong> 2024 in Paris<\/strong>, and contributed to one of three round tables. <\/span>In this respect, the three themes chosen for the 2024 roundtables promise valuable exchanges with the opinion leaders concerned, with Dr Nuttall engaging in Hearing & Cognition. | A huge congratulations to our PI, Dr Helen Nuttall<\/strong>, for being awarded funding for a 3 year research project by Dunhill Medical! This will investigate brain stimulation for hearing aid efficacy in age-related hearing loss, and aims to positively impact hearing aid usage, uptake and stigma. Congratulations, we are all so proud!
