Beth Cortese.<\/p><\/div>\n

Beth Cortese<\/strong>, whose PhD\u00a0The World of Women\u2019s Wit On Stage<\/em>\u00a0will be published by Pennsylvania University Press, has accepted a position as Assistant Professor of Restoration and Eighteenth-century Literature at the University of Iceland in Reykjavik. Beth will complete her work as post-doctoral researcher on \u2018Unearned Wealth \u2013 A Literary History of Inheritance, 1600-2015\u2019 at Aarhus University (Denmark) in September, to move further north.<\/p>\n

Professor Alison Findlay<\/strong> (Lancaster University) gave the opening plenary lecture at the 50th Anniversary Conference of the British Society of Gerontology<\/a> on 7th July 2021.\u00a0Professor Findlay\u2019s talk was entitled \u2018Age, Anxiety and Persecution in the 1612 and 1634 Lancashire Witch Trials\u2019.<\/p>\n

\nLady Mary Wroth<\/strong>\u2018s pastoral tragicomedy
