Our PhDs

This initiative is supported by a £1.55M investment from the Leverhulme Trust and Lancaster University in The Leverhulme Doctoral Scholarships Programme that will facilitate the development of this new PhD over the next seven years (2018-2025).

The Leverhulme Doctoral Scholarships Programme will provide a new cadre of 21 PhDs, equipped with a “toolkit” of methods that can be applied within their own research and be applied to “think through” the likely consequences of their research.  This toolkit will involve the analysis and application of the cradle-to-cradle (c2c) philosophy, circular economy, eco-innovation etc, married to intensive training in communication techniques– so that PhDs are better equipped to talk to boards, government, regulators and legislators and policymakers.
