The closest airport to Lancaster is Manchester airport with direct trains from the airport to Lancaster (approx. 1 hour 15 minutes – trains heading towards Edinburgh, Glasgow or Barrow-in-Furness).

Direct bus services (4 and 4X) operates between Lancaster Railway Station and Lancaster University every 30 minutes Monday to Saturday (during the day). The journey time is around 25 minutes.
Alternatively more regular 1 and 2 services operate between the city centre and Lancaster University. Buses to Alexandra Park are heading to Lancaster University, while (for return journeys) buses to Morecambe and Heysham will pass through Lancaster city centre. All 1, 2 and 4 services drop off and collect passengers in the Underpass, situated underneath Alexandra Square in the centre of campus.
Leave the M6 motorway at Junction 33 and take the A6 north towards Lancaster, turn right at the third set of traffic lights on the A6, and turn into the main entrance onto campus.
Follow the main drive past the sports centre and take the third exit on the roundabout at the top of the main drive.
Follow South Drive until you reach George Fox Avenue. Turn left here and you are at Visitor Car Park Zone D.
If full, return to the University ring road and turn right. The car parking to your left is Visitor Car Park Zone E.
These two zones are the closest car parks to the conference venue, George Fox Building.
Parking charges apply on campus. During registration on Monday 17th December, all-day visitor scratch cards will be available at the conference registration desk. Otherwise, tickets can be purchased from any of the pay and display machines across campus. Chip and pin card payment facilities are available on pay and display machines.
