{"id":19,"date":"2018-08-31T15:13:00","date_gmt":"2018-08-31T15:13:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wp.lancs.ac.uk\/luwomensnetwork\/?page_id=19"},"modified":"2020-09-08T10:17:08","modified_gmt":"2020-09-08T10:17:08","slug":"about-us","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/wp.lancs.ac.uk\/luwomensnetwork\/","title":{"rendered":"About Us"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"text-align: left\">The Lancaster University Women\u2019s Network was established in 2018 to support Women at Lancaster University by providing a forum for empowerment, discussion and individual development as well as a platform for debate, awareness raising and to facilitate action for change.<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: left\"><strong>Aims:<\/strong><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">Be a forum for networking across the organisation for women to share experiences and offer support to one another in confidence<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">Empower women in the workplace<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">Raise awareness of issues regarding inequality or opportunity<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">Provide a platform for the voice and views of women within the University to be represented and channelled to the appropriate committees<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">Offer targeted development activities and events for women including training, mentoring and support<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: left\">Lancaster University Women\u2019s Network is open to <strong>all staff and research students<\/strong> at Lancaster University.
