The last ever Lancaster Intellectual Party took place on Thursday 11th and Friday 12th of July, 2024<\/strong><\/p>\n

These pages capture the spirit of the intellectual parties. The archive will remain for ever for future reference.<\/p>\n

The Intellectual Party was a brilliant opportunity for research students to meet and collaborate with others from around the world, to discuss their work in a friendly and encouraging environment and to engage with ideas in a variety of formats.<\/p>\n

Unlike a conventional conference, participants had the opportunity to share their research in different ways, discussing project descriptions and interacting in smaller groups as well.<\/p>\n

The programme usually included a series of Craft Skills sessions,\u00a0 a game of floorball, a three minute thesis competition, and a spectacular Grand Finale.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

It was supported by Lancaster University\u2019s Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, Lancaster University Management School and the North West Social Science Doctoral Training Partnership<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
