This book will be useful if you are interested in gaining a greater background knowledge of Disney, and the section on gender (particularly chapters seven, eight and ten, relating to cosmetic use, music in Disney films, and the presentation of female relationships respectively) will be especially informative if you are interested in how gender is presented in Disney’s animated feature films. However, the focus is not on detailed linguistic analysis.
