The Dukes is a theatre & cinema in Lancaster producing a variety of professional live theatre and also showing mainstream and cultural cinema screenings.
In the summer months The Dukes produces an outdoor season in Williamson Park, Lancaster, which comprises of a four week long run of theatre & cinema.
The Role
This new internship is exclusively available to current students in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at Lancaster University and is based within the Production Department at the theatre. The department comprises of three main areas:
Technical (lighting, sound, cinema projection & buildings)
Stage Management (Props, settings & staging)
Wardrobe (Costume)
The internship will involve working within all three of these areas. The time spent in each area will vary depending on schedule and areas of interest / skills of the candidate.
There is a core team within The Dukes and additional specialist staff are brought in according to production requirements.
