FASS Internship Scheme: Video Production Assistant

Chris the Blind Woodturner, is a Chorley-based woodturner who crafts wood into various products using a lathe. After losing his sight to toxoplasmosis, Chris decided to start woodturning (after listening to 600 hours of YouTube tutorials). A big fan of horror films, Chris’ first piece of woodwork was a stake commonly used in the horror genre to kill vampires! Since then, he has been sponsored by Axminster Tools, featured in a range of media including the BBC and That’s Lancashire, and also earnt the title of Lancashire Hidden Hero. Chris currently tours the country doing live woodturning demonstrations.

Chris would like an intern to help him develop his video content for his YouTube channel, improving his current videos by adding more professional graphics and dynamic shot types. The intern will work with Chris in his workshop and have the opportunity to accompany Chris on his woodturning demonstrations.
