Dr Amanda Cahill-Ripley – Principal Investigator <\/strong><\/p>\n

This project is led by Dr Amanda Cahill-Ripley, Lecturer in Law at Lancaster University Law School. Dr Cahill-Ripley\u2019s expertise is economic, social and cultural rights particularly in the context of conflict, peace and development. She has also written on the right to water and the right to food. Geographical areas of interest include the Occupied Palestinian Territories and Northern Ireland.<\/span><\/p>\n

Florence Foster – QUNO Representative for Peace and\u00a0Disarmament\u00a0\"\"<\/b><\/p>\n

Florence holds an MA in International Relations from Bristol University, UK, and has since specialized in displacement and conflict analysis, with an increasing emphasis on disarmament, mediation and conflict transformation.\u00a0She began her career as\u00a0an intern at the Global Protection Cluster and the International Service for Human Rights in Geneva, before moving on to\u00a0focus\u00a0on West African conflict dynamics\u00a0at the Internal Displacement Monitoring Centre, with work in C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire and Mali. Through her latest roles as Programme Manager at the Fondation Suisse de D\u00e9minage and Finn Church Aid, Florence led mediation and armed violence reduction initiatives in the Central African Republic. Laurel Townhead, Representative on Human Rights and Refugees, and Cassandra Moll, Programme Assistant on Peacebuilding and Climate Change, complete the QUNO team supporting the project.<\/span><\/p>\n

Hannah Peters – Lead researcher <\/strong><\/p>\n

Hannah Peters is the Programme Officer for Human Rights and Development at the Geneva Office of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung. She has a human rights background and focuses on economic, social and cultural rights and the international human rights system in particular. She is currently working on a cross-cutting project on Sustaining Peace and Human Rights in the work of the United Nations.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dr. Diane Hendrick – Associate Researcher\u00a0\"Diane<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Dr. Diane Hendrick led QUNO\u2019s input into the project, as Representative on Peace and Disarmament, until September 2017. She developed QUNO\u2019s cross-cutting work on Sustaining Peace and Human Rights in the work of the United Nations. She now works as an independent researcher and consultant linking peace, development and human rights. Her expertise lies in conflict transformation and development and she has broad experience of working at academic, policy and practice levels at both international and local level.<\/p>\n

Partners include both non-state actors (NGO-activists, trade unionists, journalists, academics and parliamentarians) and representatives of governments (including members of diplomatic missions). FES Geneva organizes conferences, seminars, workshops and dialog sessions, training and information programs with international participation, and provide studies, consultancy reports, and other publications with a focus on developing countries, emphasizing capacity building and South-South dialogue.<\/p>\n
