  2. Careers in Academia \u2013 Facts, figures and real life stories
    \nIntroduction (facts and figures) \u2013 Elizabeth (10 minutes)
    \nReal life stories – alumni talks organised by the DTPs (40 mins)<\/li>\n
  3. Careers in Industry \u2013 Exploring opportunities and real life stories
    \nExploring opportunities \u2013 Careers Service (10 mins)
    \nReal life stories – alumni talks organised by the DTPs (40 mins)<\/li>\n
  4. Reflecting on real life
    \nWhat surprised you, what confirmed your views, what changed your views \u2013 what\u2019s next to explore? (15 mins)<\/li>\n
  5. In search of the motherlode
    \nFinding more and being found, online and in person \u2013 interactive session, including LinkedIn research and review<\/li>\n
  6. Your CV \u2013 a work in progress
    \nPeer review of CVs \u2013 additions, deletions and opportunities<\/li>\n
  7. Top answers to tricky questions
    \nDealing effectively with promoting yourself in person (including face-to-face interviews, Skype or telephone interviews, and preparation for the mock interviews on Day 2)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Speed-dating\/networking session with industry\/academia followed by Workshop Dinner.<\/p>\n

    Day 2 would involve mock interviews and feedback sessions with industry partners , plus 1 or 2 skills sessions tbc.<\/p>\n
