These are excerpts of feedback provided by EiRs on how they felt about their time here on Campus….

The three days were well planned, the timetable I received in advance was good as was it being updated almost daily as other appointments were included.
I’ve been connected with Lancaster University for around 8 years, and at first was reluctant about spending three consecutive days at LUMS due to potential business impact. However, I am very grateful to Ricardo for sticking to his plan, as I felt a much deeper connection to the University after the completion of the three days…… if possible would relish the chance to repeat the three days in 2017/18.
Highlights of the week included meeting some of the staff in the Management school and not just saying hello but actually having a deeper chat with them, which allowed me to find out about their field of interest and explore any help that could be received or given. I also loved meeting students one on one of in a group classroom/lecture environment. This for me was the best part of the three days and something that if planned well hopefully other EiR’s can do. I strongly feel that I learned from each and every engagement and hopefully was able to contribute in a small way too.
Having a separate office for myself and Martin (the other EiR sharing those three days) helped us have a base and somewhere to quickly catch up with the normal outside world. However the schedule was very full, which I enjoyed and felt I had ideal short pockets to have schedule some business meetings when they were required. We both felt very well looked after by Fleur and Jan.
….In addition, I’m still keen to progress both the concept of the EiR investment fund for Entrepreneurial Ideas at the University and having the EiR’s in residence on a certain day of each month in a space that the students (or staff) can come and bounce anything off us during that day.
It felt a real privilege being part of LUMS for three days and I am very grateful to Ricardo and the wider staff within LUMS for making it happen and making me feel so welcome. Thank you.

……As to the time I spent at the university I thought it was excellent and enjoyed the more structured approach and commitment. Students engaged with the sessions I ran and as always I got out as much as I put in having time to reflect on my own business and listening to interesting new perspectives on it.

Just a line to say thanks everyone for allowing me to work with you last week, it was hugely enjoyable to be part of the workshops. The third-year students are of such a high standard, I could easily have taken a couple of them back to Scotland and put them to work for Heatherlea!
It was also very instructive for me to see the Business Model Canvas in operation, the simplified version used in a practical way was just right, and many of the students made direct reference to it in their presentations, which demonstrates the value of the approach. Very instructive to me as well as to them!
Thanks again for the opportunity, and hope to work with you again soon.

….I’m quite sad I’ve finished my three days, it was lovely to be immersed in something entirely different from the usual routine! Meeting Susan was an added bonus as well….
“Thoroughly enjoyed my time last week.
Huge thanks for all of your work, time and prep. It was a brilliant couple of days and if it’s inspired any students then even better!
Really grateful for all of your support Fleur.
Best,

Kelly-Anne Sharp from Voice Work….”I had fabulous day working with students, lecturers and other members of staff on Thursday last week as part of her residency with Lancaster University Management School In particular, the open Q & A session with students in the Learning Zone was great fun! It turned into a mini workshop and a couple of demonstrations with willing volunteers making very quick and positive changes to their speaking voices for great impact!”
