Project: Guide for student presentations videos in distance learning programmes

Phil is a PhD candidate in the Department of Politics, Philosophy and Religion.  He previously completed an MA in International Relations as a distance learning student.  He hopes to draw on this distance learning experience to inform his approach to the Project.

Prior to starting his post graduate studies, Phil has had a career in commerce and work for a variety of companies including Ford Motor Company, TSB Bank and was a Director in the Corporate Division of the Bank of Scotland.  In the latter role one responsibility was for delivering product/system launches and training rollouts to the field-based staff network.  He hopes this experience will assist him in this role in terms of the project and as an ambassador.

Phil originally did his degree at Lancaster in the 1980’s and chose to come back here because of its outstanding reputation.  He says apart from his old college (Cartmel) moving location on the campus the only change he has noticed is the traffic in the City – there never used to be traffic jams!   Aside from the occasional jams, he thinks Lancaster is a great location and so near the Lake District for outdoor pursuits.
