Project: Enhancing Moodle Accessibility

Originally from New Delhi, India, Manish now lives and works in sunny Southsea area in Hampshire.

Engineer by education (Bristol) and interested in pedagogic research and technology enhanced learning, he has been teaching engineering subject at the University of Portsmouth and The Open University over the last decade or so. He is also a Senior Fellow of the HEA.

At Lancaster this is Manish’s first year. He is doing his PhD in E- Research and Technology Enhanced Learning in the Department of Educational Research.

At Portsmouth, Manish chairs a systematic review research group focussing on Engineering education and technology enhanced learning. He has won several awards in Teaching and Learning. He works across his University in supporting colleagues with their professional accreditation as well as promoting the use of technology such as voting systems, chromebooks, social media and personal web tools (Google Apps etc) in Active Learning activities.

Whilst studying at Lancaster Manish hopes to develop critical thinking and the skills to allow him design robust research projects and to write for publications.
