Resilience raft

…Because it’s happened before, it can happen again. They’re adapting.

Marion Walker draws on research into the 2013/14 winter floods in England to argue that by understanding their perspectives and capacities children and young people could inform more effective policy, enhance resilience and reduce the impact of future emergencies. ‘Flooding and resilience: the important role children and young people can play’ is featured in the Foundation for Democracy Sustainable  Development Newsletter 2016 which focuses on disasters and democracy and the importance of youth engagement.
