WHO – Ethics & Governance of Artificial Intelligence for Health

The World Health Organisation (WHO) has just published its first global report on Artificial Intelligence (AI) in health

The report is titled: Ethics and governance of artificial intelligence for health: WHO guidance

It identifies the following key ethical principles for the use of AI for health:

  • Protecting human autonomy
  • Promoting human well-being and safety and the public interest.
  • Ensuring transparency, explainability and intelligibility.
  • Fostering responsibility and accountability.
  • Ensuring inclusiveness and equity.
  • Promoting AI that is responsive and sustainable.
