The purpose of the seminar was to address questions posed by Sir James Munby in his <a href=\"http:\/\/www.familylaw.co.uk\/news_and_comment\/15th-view-from-the-president-s-chambers-care-cases-the-looming-crisis#.WLiSedeboBQ.link\" target=\"_blank\">15th View from the President\u2019s Chambers<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The presentations covered questions on:-<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the number of children in the case, age and gender<\/li>\n<li>the use of different legal permanency orders<\/li>\n<li>repeat children<\/li>\n<li>understanding local variations (local authorities \/ DFJ areas) using funnel plots<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>An article, \u201cNew entrants and repeat children: stability and change over time\u201d, is forthcoming in the April issue of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.familylaw.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\">Family Law<\/a>.
