Author kit can be found on: <\/b><span style=\"font-family: helvetica\"><a href=\"https:\/\/coling2020.org\/pages\/submission\">https:\/\/coling2020.org\/pages\/submission<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica\">Please follow the guidelines and use the COLING-2020 style files in <a href=\"https:\/\/coling2020.org\/coling2020.zip\">coling2020.zip<\/a><br \/>\nIt has\u00a0LATEX\u00a0files, Microsoft Word template file, and a sample PDF file.<\/span><\/p>\n<h1><span style=\"font-size: 18pt;color: #ff6600\">Paper Length:<\/span><\/h1>\n<p>As this is a system description paper we require that your paper is up to 4 pages long plus any number of pages for references.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h1><span style=\"font-size: 18pt;color: #ff6600\"><strong>How to submit to a Shared-task:<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n<p>To submit a paper click on <span style=\"font-family: helvetica\">Submission URL:<a href=\"https:\/\/www.softconf.com\/coling2020\/FNP-FNS\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">https:\/\/www.softconf.com\/coling2020\/FNP-FNS\/<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p>In order to make sure your paper goes to the correct shared task track please make sure you select the correct Submission Type and Paper length when you try to submit your work.<\/p>\n<p>For example if you are submitting a paper to the FNS summarisation shared task please select the submission type and make sure paper length is 4 pages. For main workshop submission you can submit either short or long papers:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-763\" src=\"http:\/\/wp.lancs.ac.uk\/cfie\/files\/2020\/06\/submission.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1592\" height=\"504\" srcset=\"http:\/\/wp.lancs.ac.uk\/cfie\/files\/2020\/06\/submission.png 1592w, http:\/\/wp.lancs.ac.uk\/cfie\/files\/2020\/06\/submission-300x95.png 300w, http:\/\/wp.lancs.ac.uk\/cfie\/files\/2020\/06\/submission-1024x324.png 1024w, http:\/\/wp.lancs.ac.uk\/cfie\/files\/2020\/06\/submission-768x243.png 768w, http:\/\/wp.lancs.ac.uk\/cfie\/files\/2020\/06\/submission-1536x486.png 1536w, http:\/\/wp.lancs.ac.uk\/cfie\/files\/2020\/06\/submission-500x158.png 500w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1592px) 100vw, 1592px\" \/><\/p>\n<h1><span style=\"font-size: 18pt;color: #ff6600\"><strong><span style=\"font-family: helvetica\">Provisional\u00a0Structure:<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n<p>The following structure is just to help you organise your paper but you are free to choose a different one:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"n8H08c UVNKR\">\n<li id=\"h.p_IEXNYNHSzGFN\" class=\"TYR86d zfr3Q\"><strong>Abstract<\/strong>: up to 300 words highlighting your approach and key results.<\/li>\n<li id=\"h.p_N0UYUcR9zGFN\" class=\"TYR86d zfr3Q\"><strong>Introduction<\/strong>: less than a page expanding on the abstract mentioning key background such as why the task is challenging for current modeling techniques and why your approach is interesting\/novel.<\/li>\n<li id=\"h.p_gwe79AY2zGFO\" class=\"TYR86d zfr3Q\"><strong>Data<\/strong>: review of the data you used to train your system. Be sure to mention the size of the training, validation and test sets that you\u2019ve used, and the label distributions, as well as any tools you used to pre-process the data.<\/li>\n<li id=\"h.p_8YDei74_zGFP\" class=\"TYR86d zfr3Q\"><strong>System<\/strong>: a detailed description of how your system was built and trained. If you\u2019re using a neural network, were there pre-trained embeddings, how was the model trained, what hyperparameters were chosen and experimented with? How long did the model take to train, and on what infrastructure? Linking to source code is valuable here as well, but the description should be able to stand alone as a full description of how to replicate the system.<\/li>\n<li id=\"h.p_cRe2uYiYzGFQ\" class=\"TYR86d zfr3Q\"><strong>Results<\/strong>: a description of the key results of the paper. If you have done extra error analysis into what types of errors the system makes, this is extremely valuable for the reader. Unofficial results from after the submission deadline can be very useful as well.<\/li>\n<li id=\"h.p_n7hN7QQ9zGFQ\" class=\"TYR86d zfr3Q\"><strong>Discussion<\/strong>: general discussion of the task and your system. Description of characteristic errors and their frequency over a sample of development data.
