Cancellations received before Friday 1st August 2020 will be issued a refund minus an administration fee of £60. Cancellation requests received after 1st August will be at the discretion of the Conference organising committee and will be subject to a minimum administration charge of £60. It is highly unlikely we will be able to refund accommodation/meal costs after this time.
Refunds shall not be payable for any total or partial failure of performance by the conference organisers of their duties and obligations under this Agreement occasioned by any act of God including but not limited to fire, flood, drought, tempest; act of government or state, war, civil commotion, insurrection, blockade, embargo, prevention from or hindrance in obtaining any raw materials, energy or other supplies, interruption of utility service, labour disputes of whatever nature including but not limited to strike, lock out or boycott; fuel shortage, disruption to transportation services or facilities, and any other reason beyond the control of the conference organisers.
We strive to make the conference as accessible as possible to all delegates. There is a small conference team who can provide general assistance (but not medical or personal care). If delegates need to arrange additional assistance the University’s Disability Service recommends Allied Health Care (01524 840844/ firstname.lastname@example.org).
The majority of the conference rooms are equipped with a loop system, we will work with those who have requested loop access to ensure all sessions they wish to attend are in rooms with appropriate facilities. There will be a palantypist with projection to large screen available in all plenary sessions. Information can be provided in alternative formats. Other access request can be considered and delegates are encouraged to make their needs known as soon as possible. The accommodation is a 10-15 minute walk from the George Fox and Charles Carter buildings along an accessible path.
We have a number of bursaries available (a discount on the concessionary rate) . The bursaries are intended for those who are unwaged or without institutional/employer support and prioritise those who have not attended the conference before. Please contact Hannah Morgan to apply. The deadline for applications is 1st May 2020.
