As I’m coming to the end of second year, I thought I’d give you the run-down of what the role entails, and what I’ve been up to this year!

Getting elected and training

Around the beginning of each year, the teaching office will get in contact with students and ask students to apply to be the student rep for their course. Each year, you’ll complete a short Moodle module on what the role entails, who you can go to for support and your responsibilities as a rep. I have also attended a few meetings with a disciplinary board, when someone on the course was accused of cheating or plagiarism, to support the students on my course.

Moving on up

While I’m just a course rep at the moment, there are opportunities for you to become more involved in the rep system.
